Iconic photographic portraits

Image result for iconic photographic portraits

These photographic portraits may inspire my practice because they have incorporated elements of their life, history, talents and collections. The first photo displays a man with his throwing knives, this is a demonstration of his talents or possibly his family history. This also applies to the last photo.

The second and third photo inspire the practice because they use elements that wouldn't normally appear in portrait photography. All these photos have the collector looking into the camera except for the second photo, there are two collectors in the one photo.

Strengths of the process or assessment task
Weaknesses of the process or assessment task
Some strengths of the process of the assessment task was relating my    storyboard to the photos taken for the photoshoots.

Some weaknesses of the process of the assessment task is organising the actors and to stop them from looking at their phone and engage in the photoshoot.

What did you learn from doing this assessment task? (skills, life lessons, words etc.) I learnt from this assessment that some students are easily distracted and are hard to direct. I also learn that some photos are different on the computer to when they were printed on the photographic paper.

How do you feel about your final product? Overall, I think that my final product is at really good, however, I feel that my final product could be improved and could have been better.

If you could do this task all over again, what would you do differently/the same?
If I could do this task all over again, I would choose different actors, use a different story and use tools like photoshop more effectively.

Did you enjoy this assessment task? Why or why not?
There were parts of this assessment that I enjoyed and did not enjoy, some of the parts that I enjoyed was having free control over my actors and telling them what to do. The parts that I did not enjoy were having to constantly “babysit” some of my actors.

What would you improve for your final product for next time?
To improve my final product for next time, I would choose different actors, have a story that is different and more engaging, and use tools like photoshop more effectively.
